Behavior Management Plan

Classroom Rules:

Raise your hand if you want to speak

Use indoor voices

Listen to all directions

Everyone keeps hands, feet, objects to themselves

Stay in your seat

We use the dot system in our classroom.  The dots are colored green, yellow, red and blue.

Green dot represents a great day and no rules were broken.

Yellow dot means that a rule was broken (after three warnings.)

Red dot means it has not been a great day with numerous warnings and rules broken, the child will loose 5 minutes of recess.

Blue dot means that the rules are being ignored and the child will visit the principal with me and will miss all recesses with a phone call home from me after school.

I feel that each child has a great chance of feeling success with this behavior system. They will understand why they turned their dot.  Please do not expect your child to remain on a green dot all school year long.  As I always tell them you are only six years old and sometimes you make mistakes and a yellow dot is not the end of the world.  A letter will come home to you if your child has had a red or blue dot day.
